Genius:
This befalleth when thou firk’st a stranger ‘twixt the buttocks, Laurence! Understand’st thou? Dost thou attend me? Seest thou what happens, Laurence? Seest thou what happens, Laurence? Seest thou what happens, Laurence, when thou firk’st a stranger ‘twixt the buttocks?!
I love the internets.

I’m currently reading Pride and Prejudice – which I somehow managed to avoid doing for the past 40 or so years – and am thoroughly enjoying it. Highly recommended to all but TJIC (for, while many offers are made, none are of the sort that cannot be refused).
I was ready for a distraction, as it happened.

I’d go see this movie in a heartbeat.

First, the night side of Saturn is seen to be partly lit [...]
Rocking! Droning! New TFYs : baby it’s cold inside.
…that Dinosaur Jr. might be one of the absolute best rock bands, ever. I just don’t seem to be able to get tired of their music. And I play the shit out of stuff I like.

Whoo hoo!
And a clip featuring a warehouse of medical equipment dating back to Victorian times…
To Repel Ghosts:
These songs are the record of our speculative forays into the dreamspace which has grown up in the cracks between the social myth of the Heroic partisans and the ugly reality of the war; in mapping that territory, it was not our intention to pursue any specific political agenda or champion any particular [...]

Stuff white people like:
#41 Indie Music
If you want to understand white people, you need to understand indie music. As mentioned before, white people hate anything that’s “mainstream” and are desperate to find things that are more genuine, unique, and reflective of their experiences.
Fortunately, they have independent music.
A white person’s iPod (formerly CD collection) is not [...]

With the loose change found under the couch cushions of a third-tier Hollywood producer, France has launched its most expensive movie – sorry, “film” – ever: Asterix at the Olympic Games. TIME magazine tells us:
A Gallic national treasure, Asterix is revered and adored by the French far more than even Mickey Mouse is by Americans. [...]
