For ngvrnd

A new Venture Bros. season.
Well, I guess it’s not just for ngvrnd, but I thought he’d be interested to find out about it.

Ta Da!!!!

The new shows in the fall lineups…
At first (and second and third) glance they all suck donkey dick. I will however be watching CBS’s “Threshold” because of some of its stars. 1. Little person Peter Dinklage, 2. STNG’s Brent Spiner and most importantly 3. Carla Gugino, who I have always had a thing [...]

Rome, by way of the 8th dimension

Argh! I missed this. Hopefully they’ll re-run it. And look who’s on the show:
Tomorrow night at 9, actor Peter Weller will appear at the Colosseum and other monuments of ancient Rome in the History Channel documentary “Rome: Engineering an Empire.” The former RoboCop is one of the experts sharing his knowledge in this superb two-hour [...]

The unstoppable Mike Mignola

According to Horrorchannel.com, Mike Mignola’s The Amazing Screw-On Head is slated to manifest as an animated feature on the SciFi channel. If they do this right, I’ll watch it, and maybe even forgive them.
I’d have a better image but I’m too lazy to find my copy and scan something.

Brush with brush with greatness

Co-worker’s daughter won Miss Universe 2005.

Maybe this is the Mirror Universe?

Continuity Porn!

Even if you don’t watch Enterprise (and if you don’t, I can’t blame you that much), try to catch one of the re-broadcasts of “Into a Mirror, Darkly (Part 1)” and then “Into a Mirror, Darkly (Part 2)” next Saturday (or whenever your TiVo grabs it).
A great shout-out to fans of the One, True Series.
Ah [...]

C is for Cretinous Idiots…

or, New Socialist Muppets
Another reason to chop CTW off at the knees…

On TV, Part 4: damn dirty apes

In an office of one, no one can be the monkey but you.
Great ads, though.

On TV, part 3: scifi.bomb

Dear SciFi,
This was passable, this certainly wasn’t, and now… the bottom of the barrel has been officially reached. I have never seen such complete and total debasement. I took a dump today that could’ve written a better screenplay. I demand you leave that poor woman alone, you soulless hacks! I mean, who do you [...]

What’s the frequency, Kenneth?

Just heard on the radio that Dan Rather will be retiring in March.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. Should have happened years ago.
When can we get rid of Jennings?

On TV, part 2

Damn it, they got me. I’m finally in the demographic.
This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While we rock ourselves to sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won’t be weeping long
Nick Cave, Sisters o’ Mercy, etc.
Basically re-runs of late 80s - early 90s ‘120 Minutes’. Cool, nonetheless.

On TV, part 1

Seen on FOXNEWS (from memory, I think fairly accurate) - a member of our armed forces, saying:
They’ve been hittin’ us an hittin’ us and hidin’ out in this town for eight, maybe twelve months now, and they don’t know what’s comin’.
Hell’s comin’.
Rock on, soldier!
