I was poking fun at all the psuedo-self censoring (self-pseudo-censoring?) you've done in posts and comments, here & elsewhere, which seem like a lose/lose thing to me: the people who're going to be annoyed by your swearing won't be mollified by a * (you've still made the swear word appear in their brains and ruined their day), and everyone else will just see a lack of backbone.
