I had no idea Production IG made another Ghost in the Shell movie! The DVD should be out in the US in July, and the Sci Fi channel will air it on June 11 (to kick off a new block of anime programming). Apparently the story picks up two years after the conclusion of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG series. I’ve only seen a few episodes, but thought they were great. I doubt I can buy & watch ‘em all before June, but I might give it a shot.
It also looks like there’s some clever product placement in this movie. That’s pretty creative marketing.
