After listening (accidentally!) to one of those social justice loons on college radio this morning, a question occurs to me: how is it that any steps the federal government takes to protect the public from people who are merely suspected of some sort of terrorism-related activity are “fascist, man, totally fascist” and will lead immediately to the dissolution of our rights, the creation of a police state, and the not-passing-of-go, and YET… if the NRA opposes some sort of legislation alleged to make it impossible (or more difficult, or something) for people merely suspected of some sort of terrorism-related activity to buy guns, they’re taking insane chances with our safety?
I mean, if the government suspects someone of terrorism-related activity, and is, say, investigating them, isn’t a scenario were said someone wanders into a gun shop and is told “sorry, you’re on the fed’s terrorism-suspect list, I can’t sell you a firearm” the last thing anyone would want?
I only heard a couple of minutes of the jabbering, so my apologies if I’m missing something.

Speaking of social justice loons, I was wandering around Davis Square today. I wandered by an overweight man wearing a shirt that said, simply:
I (heart) DFF
You apparently have a following.
I’ve only got a following of one, really. Could be that guy designs video games, or is a fan of Swedish Women’s football. Or maybe he likes to Drink, Fight & F***? There’s more…
Damnit, I wanted my crush on Dan to remain a secret.
