Home Depot is giving away compact florescent lightbulbs on Earth Day.
The n:vision brand (the soft white version) was named number one in a Popular Mechanics review- even better than an incandescent. I installed one in my Kitchen and have to agree that the technology is finally there performance wise.
Do I do this because I’m green? No, I do it because:
1. I’m a cheap bastard
2. I live in a 70 year old house which blows out incandescents frequently
