WARNING - I have been a bit under the weather for the last three days, and am more crabby than usual.
I was driving to work this morning and was almost driven off the road by one of those giant vans with the fiberglass roofs to give people in wheelchairs headroom. After muttering a few obscenities, I read the side of the van - “Adult Day Care”. Now let me say that is a great idea - allowing the elderly who might have certain health issue to be monitored while maintaining a social life is a wonderful thing. Its a lot better then having them stuck at home, sitting in front of the TV all day.
However - to all my friends and family out there - the day I am so old I have to get picked up by the “Short Bus” to be carted off to day care please drop a dime to Dr. Jack.
Lets at least use a more respectful name - terms like “Elder Care” or “Assisted Living”. Whenever I hear “day care” I think of little kids or dogs.
