The proper name of the movie is "28 Days Later". I'm not trying to be a prick, I just don't want anyone to rent "28 Days" thinking there is zombies in it. "28 Days" is a Sandra Bullock movie where "A big-city newspaper columnist is forced to enter a drug and alcohol rehab center after stealing a limousine and crashing it into a house." Man, sounds like some zombies would have really improved that flick.

"Plans are pointless. Staying alive is as good as it gets. "

This belongs here:

I once said something like that to my parents.

My dad was talking about some case in the news where a person was fighting to have life support removed, and asserted firmly that he would just want the “plug to be pulled” rather than “live like that”.

I was irritated by this and I said “Dad, don’t worry, I’ll never let you suffer.”

Made a big impression on him.

Family was watching '28 Days'. The 'You've got to kill your mother if you don't you're zombie meat' scene plays.

Older son looks very serious and says "Mommy, I could never kill you."

Younger son climbs into his mommy's lap looks her square in the face and says very solemnly "I'd kill you, Mommy."

I've never been sure if he was saying that to tease his older brother or if - at the age of five - he grasped the essence of Survival Rules. Either is possible with that kid.
