There are apparently some amateur videos set to James Kochalka Superstar’s masterpiece on YouTube.
I’m amused.

UPDATE:
Coincidentally, his song Hockey Monkey (more or less from memory):
all the scientists are runnin’ around
they’re looking for the monkey
but he can’t be found
’cause he’s down at the lake
playin’ hockey with the kidsand it’s one-two-three
the kids love the monkey and
four-five-six
monkey’s got a hockey stick
seven-eight-nine
havin’ a good time, yeah!
was picked as the theme song for The Loop, a Fox tv show that debuted last week.
The deal to open “The Loop” with “Hockey Monkey” came only after Fox, Kochalka and The Zambonis endured two weeks of negotiations that Kochalka called “a comedy of errors” and “painful.” Eventually, Fox bought “Hockey Monkey” for $25,000, to be split among Kochalka and the four Zambonis.
Kochalka, 38, said the deal began last summer with a call from Fox. Pam Brady, creator of “The Loop” and a writer for the TV show “South Park” and the movie “Team America,” is a fan of Kochalka’s music and wanted “Hockey Monkey” for her show. Set in Chicago, “The Loop” isn’t about hockey or monkeys but does have an irreverent style and a central character (played by Bret Harrison) caught between his new job as an airline executive and his juvenile buddies who might be the sort to sing about hockey-playing monkeys.
“It’s a great song, and I think I can say that objectively,” Kochalka said. “In some ways it annoys me because it’s more popular than some songs maybe I like better, but I can’t deny that it has some quality that attracts people to it. It just has amazing playful energy.”
On a related note, I’m painfully un-hip:
The new Fox sitcom, ‘The Loop’ promises to be a music haven for some of today’s hottest up and coming artists, reports actor Bret Harrison. ‘A lot of our budget is going into the music,’ says Harrison [...] ‘It’s a single camera show and no laugh track. It’s really fast-paced and music drives the show.’ Not a surprising turn of events. More and more of today’s series, which are geared toward that all-important 18-35 demographic, are incorporating music in a major way and putting out soundtrack CDs. [...] Harrison says they’ve shot seven or eight episodes of ‘The Loop’ and thus far ‘We’ve had the music of The Killers, Snow Patrol and Death Cab for Cutie.’ ‘The Loop’ theme song is done by James Kolchalka and the Zambonis and other tunes featured on the series in future episodes include, ‘Honest Mistake’ by The Bravery, The Kaiser Chiefs’ ‘I Predict A Riot,’ ‘Absolute Affirmation’ by Radio 4, ‘Suddenly I See’ by KT Tunstall, ‘Goodnight Goodnight’ by Hot Hot Heat?and ‘I Won’t Let You Down’ by Urban Delights.
Aside from JKS, I don’t think I’ve heard of any of ‘em.
And look, tshirts:
