1. How much music do I have?
Quick guess is 800 CDs- I have filled a 440 cd cabinet and still have another box in storage. Most were bought 10 years ago. I’ve been really lame of late.
2. What was the last CD I bought?
On the recommendation of DFF Ulrich Schnauss. As I said I’ve been really lame lately. CDs bought for me include Moby and U2’s Atom Bomb thingy.
3. What am I listening to right now?
Usually listen to WZBC radio, but on my last trip to Germany lots of Johnny Cash, Sigur Ros, BT and Mazzy Star ripped to my MP3 player. Not an iPod! The latest U2 is currently in my CD clock radio, mostly for the big guitar sound (which goes to 11) which drives me out of bed.
4. Name five songs that mean a lot to me.
1. Shreikback- Coelocanth. It marked the beginning and end of my foray into modern interpretive dance.
2. Cabaret Voltaire- Sex, Money, Freaks. Nuf said.
3. Malcolm Maclaren- Madame Butterfly. Pure genius from a prick.
4. Roxy Music- Love is the Drug. Best song of all time.
5. PJ Harvey- Kamikaze. I went through a period where I listened to Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea for 2 months nonstop. All I have now is an empty jewelbox.
Runners up- Luna- Bonny & Clyde (might have made top 5 if they didn’t suck live), Stranglers- Skin Deep, The (English) Beat- Mirror in the Bathroom, Big Black-Kerosene, Johnny Cash- Walk the Line, Boy Named Sue.
Never Made It Big Favorite- UnKnown (East Coast Surf Compilation)- Let Loose The Kraken.
Some Albums are amazing as a whole, but don’t have one song off them that make the top 5. Beastie Boys Paul’s Boutique, Chamelions UK- Strange Times, Mazzy Star- So tonight that I may See, Boss Hog-Boss Hog, Butthole Surfers- Independent Worm Saloon, Dicky Dale- Calling up Spirits, etc.
Of course i have my classical favorites, but those are for another time.
5. I’m passing this meme on to…
This ends right here, right now.

Let Loose The Kraken seems to be by a band called The Bald Guys. If they’ve got a website, I can’t find it.
I think that song would be 10+ years old, so i would imagine the Bald Guys have gone the way of PBW.
Banished to the land of never-was? Hmmm, true. But I still hear it on the radio (Z) occasionally.
