Argh! I missed this. Hopefully they’ll re-run it. And look who’s on the show:
Tomorrow night at 9, actor Peter Weller will appear at the Colosseum and other monuments of ancient Rome in the History Channel documentary “Rome: Engineering an Empire.” The former RoboCop is one of the experts sharing his knowledge in this superb two-hour companion piece to the current HBO miniseries “Rome.”
Weller, 58, who holds a master’s degree in Roman and Renaissance art and is working toward a Ph.D., has become one of Syracuse University’s most popular professors.
Cool… though I find it a bit strange that his IMDB bio doesn’t mention the only four movies I’ve seen him in (the robocops, BB, and Naked Lunch) until you get down to the trivia section.

I wonder what he does to people who ask him about the finer technical details of the oscillation overthruster? Or to students who suddenly bolt upright in their chair, point to the back of the room, and yell “Evil!”
Then again, today’s college students have probably never heard of BB…
Can someone “working toward a PhD” actually be a professor? I would imaging he is a lowly doctoral candidate.
