You tell ‘em, Belson! Joe Sixpack should stop taking for granted his ability to print money and levy taxes — if he had to actually go out and earn the money he spent, I bet he’d have a lot more sympathy for you government guys.

Dick.

You tell em!

I note that due to launching my own company, my take-home pay has dropped by far more than 3.5%.

Faced with this crunch has the town sold off the unneeded fire station?

No.

Has the town sold off the unneeded hospital land?

No.

Has the town approved business development near Alewife, which could bring in a ton of tax revenue?

No.

Has the town tried to renegotiate contracts with the unions?

No.

Has the town at least kept salary spending under control, avoiding - for example - massive unrequired handouts to retiring employees?

No.

Has the town ....

Ah.

Screw it.

Suffice it to say that the town government has not done a SINGLE creative thing when it comes to the budget. It has acted like a
kid with a trust fund, and not like an adult who has to live with in his means.

Screw the town government, and the unionized, gold-bricking horse it rode in on.
