		<description>Given that I'm a HUGE fan of taking other's words out of context in order to make a funny story even funnier, I can clearly have no objection to Dan's framing above.

...but I'll none-the-less supply the context:

we were talking about meeting women and dating, and Dan was coming out in favor of being one's full-on jeans-and-ratty-T-shirt-wearing anarcho-capitalist-spouting firearm-toting government-hating self.

And I was arguing that it makes sense to down play some aspects of this, at least at first (e.g. don't go out of one's way to point out that the Oklahoma City Bombing was an entirely legitimate military action aimed at the BATF), because women can get too easilly scared away, whereas if one downplay's one's political insanity and reveals it after the relationship is under way, things play better.

Hence:
