Town without pity, redux

For those who missed it (er, back in January), Sprague takes a pounding in the comments of this LFA article. The whole thing is a hoot.

There may be hope for this town yet.

I dunno. The first few pages of that thread (all I read before I got bored) looks like a whole bunch of bitter liberal-bashing, with a few people trying to give thoughtful answers and being answered by more liberal-bashing. When does it get good?

Well, I guess it depends on what you consider “good”. I enjoyed reading people call bs on BS’s bs, and him without his posse there to defend him. I (somewhat) enjoyed the liberal-bashing, which I read as more spirited and amusing than bitter. Basically, I found the crass articulation of our local culture clash funny.

Contrary to JT, I actually thought that most of the comments were suck-up leftist tripe, with only one or two good anti-Sprague points.

I particularly enjoyed Ben Hyde’s un-spell-checked stereotypical leftist slander, wherein any expression of partisanship not of the John-Kerry-Noam-Chomsky variety is evil-baby-killing-Republican-scheming.

Ben, I’ve got one thing to say: everyone who does not agree with you IS really working for Karl Rove and Dick Cheney, and WE HAVE WAYS OF DEALING WITH DISSENT.
