An exchange at the local office of the postal monopoly:

I have no complaints about that PW in particular, he was friendly and efficient, but when there’s a line out the door, an institution facing competition might take it as a sign that another service window should be opened. I also noticed a sign advising that anyone bringing a gun or other dangerous instrument into a post office would face a fine and a year in jail. Where was this sign? On the public side of the counter.
Doesn’t it belong in the back room?

WRT the sign:
I’ve never been arrested for carrying a firearm on the one patch of land in Arlington that is under the control of the federal government, guaranteor of the right to keep and bear arms.
Which is not to go one RECORD as saying that I’ve actually carried a Sigarms 2340 loaded with 10 rounds of Federal Hydrashock into a post office. But…
