Does anyone else see the irony here?
“http://tinyurl.com” vs. “http://makeashorterlink.com”
http://makeatinyurlquickerthanthosejerksatmakeashorterlink.com ?
Though I’ll point out that makeashorterlink.com at least shows you the link it’s about to redirect you do before it does the redirect, unlike tinyurl which zaps you there with no warning.
speaking of short urls, I once had the plan to get the domain “tj” in Iceland, so that I’d be tjic@tj.ic.
This dream was brutally shattered by the minor fact that the ISO 3166 country code for Iceland is “is”, and “ic” is entirely unassigned.
Damn.
Maybe after the Anarcho-capitalistic Republic of TJICistan seceeds from the US, we can petition ISO for “ic”.
Pffft!
I note that in the above comment I left, wordpress has HTML-ified the faux email addr into a mailto: tag.
I’m preemptively amused at the idea of “H3rbal V1agrrrrrA !!!!!!!” mail getting sent to the non-existant .ic domain.
